What is yoga to you?  Taught in the traditional manner, yoga is asana (poses), pranayama (breath) and meditation.  These three combined, practiced in a focused manner, can alter how you live in the world, how you feel, how you think and what you experience.

 

 

 

At Wunderland, your yoga practice will take on new meaning.  If you’ve never done yoga before, welcome to a new path.  If you’ve had experience with yoga, but never had a personalized, private session, you are also welcome to this new path.  Juniper teaches yoga from the Viniyoga lineage (learn about these amazing teachings here:  viniyoga).  With a 500 hour Yoga Alliance certification and with over 1,000 hours of dedicated training in various modalities, Juniper specializes in therapeutic yoga practices individuated for each client.  She teaches prenatal, trauma-informed and limited-mobility yoga.  She has experience teaching vets, clients with PTS, physical traumas and sleep issues.  All of Juniper’s yoga teachings incorporate pranayama (breath work) and meditation as well as asana (poses), simply at first and then in a more complex manner as your practice matures.

You don’t need a mat, bolsters, special yoga pants or any specialized gear.  Everything you need is at Wunderland.  Once you are at home, your practice will only require you to have on loose, comfortable clothing and a soft, quiet space to be.  When you’ve completed a private session with Juniper, you will walk away with a personalized, scribed practice all your own, with access to that practice 24/7 in your booking site account.  Each new session at Wunderland you will revisit your current practice and update it as progress is made. 

 

If your preference is to simply stretch and relax before a massage, sound bath or meditation, Juniper also offers simple, restorative yoga in 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions that can be chosen with the Sessions Choices survey.

 

***Small group classes are now on offer some Wednesdays (check the Book button for the current schedule) from 5-6:30pm, for 2 to 6 people.  These are focused on relaxation and restoration of mind, body and spirit.  They include 60 minutes of restorative yoga, a 10 minute guided meditation in supported shavasana pose and a 20 minute sound bath, all by candlelight.  They are now available to book online today!

 

Each appointment will include a short decompression intake and a recompression out going time in addition to your paid lesson.  This time will not affect your session – it begins when you are on the mat.
